SC-04 เป็นเครื่องตรวจจับก๊าซพิษชนิดเดียวที่ใช้งานได้หลากหลาย โดยสร้างขึ้นจากเทคโนโลยีเซ็นเซอร์อัจฉริยะล่าสุดของ RKI เซ็นเซอร์อัจฉริยะสามารถใช้แทนกันได้ โดย SC-04 จะจดจำการเปลี่ยนแปลงเซ็นเซอร์โดยอัตโนมัติโดยไม่ต้องตั้งค่าหรือเปลี่ยนแปลงการกำหนดค่าใดๆ ข้อมูลการสอบเทียบเซ็นเซอร์จะยังคงอยู่กับเซ็นเซอร์แต่ละตัว ด้วยน้ำหนักเพียง 7.6 ออนซ์
